Regarding your inquiry about down products and specifically DownTown Company products, we offer the following information.

We have recently tested a series of DownTown Company down and feather comforters and pillows. These test indicate that DownTown products are superb quality. You should have every confidence that you are selling/buying a top-of-the-line down product.

We test over 7,000 samples of feather and down products per year. The DownTown products are among the upper crust of down and feather products sold in the USA. A summary of DownTown Company test results is found below.

1. The down clusters are large and mature and the down content % is very high.
   Most down products sold in 2006 have about 75% down cluster.
   The majority of DownTown products contain 85%-95% down cluster.
   
2. DownTown Company products are all 100% Goose.
   Goose Down has a longer shelf life compared to duck products.
   Most down products today have 10-15% duck down and that decreases the value of the product.
   
3. These products have very little fiber.
   Down and Feather fiber have no insulation or other value.
   This low fiber is an indicator that the quality is very high. Down from Eastern Europe is normally much higher quality than Asian down.
   Many Asian products have high fiber content simply to increase the weight.
   
4. Fill Power is very high allowing additional insulation without additional weight.
   This is a good indicator that the down is from Eastern Europe. High fill power products have more insulation value per oz. than low fill power products.
